Goals either side of half time saw Peacehaven claim a first away
win of the season on Saturday. Pete Edwards side dominated for
the majority of this match, and should probably have won more
comfortably.
The Tye were almost back to full strength, and dominated the
early exhanges. Tom Burton and Tom Levitt both had early
opportunities, as Peacehaven pushed forward. They took the lead
ten inutes before the break, as Burton sprung the offside trap
and lobbed over the stranded Chris May.
A fantastic strike from Stuart Garrod doubled the advantage just
after half time, drilled low into the corner of the net.
Peacehaven controlled the majority of the second half, and had a
number of opportunities to extend their advantage, with Burton
and Matt Hill both hitting the bar.
Redhill grabbed a lifeline just before the end, when Sean
Sinclair poked home after a free kick was spilled. They went on
to hit the bar, but Peacehaven held on for three well earned
points.
