Peacehaven's progress in the FA Vase continued on Saturday, with
this surprisingly comfortable victory. Three second half goals
were enough to see off an under strength Chichester.
The visitors arrived missing several key players, including top
scorer Jamie Vassalo. They had the wind at their back in the
first half, but struggled to carve out clear chances. The
closest they came was a snap shot from Adrian Brockway.
Peacehaven took the lead with their first attack of the second
half, Craig Bunch and Tom Burton combining to set up Carl Dunk
for his first home goal. An own goal put Peacehaven two up
midway through the half, and the victory was assured when Bunch
rifled a third into the top corner following a swift counter
attack.
Jamie Ford grabbed a late consolation goal, but it was
Peacehaven who progressed. They will now face Chalfont St Peter
on the 14th November.
