Peacehaven closed to within seven points of the league leaders
after this comfortable victory. On a day when the first and
second placed teams both failed to win Peacehaven kept up the
pressure.
The Tye unveiled a slightly alarming luminous away kit, and this
may have distracted Wick, who conceeded twice in the first ten
minutes.
The first goal came after some excellent play between Clive
Snell and Andy Wilkinson set up Tom Levitt for a simple header.
That was soon followed by Tom Burton being brought down and
Peacehaven being awarded yet another penalty. Snell's spot kick
was saved, but he reacted quickly to tap home the rebound.
Peacehaven dominated the match, and should probably have added
to their lead. Victory was never really in doubt though, and
they emerged comfortable winners.
