Peacehaven Win In Style.

Peacehaven claimed the John O’Hara League Cup in emphatic style with Tom Burton and Tom Levitt scored two apiece in a 5-0 rout of ten-man Crawley Down.

They broke the deadlock from their first attack in the 11th minute when Burton met Andy Wilkinson's corner from the right with a firm header.

The talking point of the game came just before the half hour mark when Crawley Down goalkeeper Shayne Goldsmith was controversially sent off for handling Levitt's shot outside his area.

Goldsmith claimed, with some justification, the ball had struck his chest and but referee Lloyd Rendell brandished a red card and the Anvils were always second best after that.

Peacehaven doubled their advantage five minutes before the break with another header as Wilkinson's superb delivery from the left was guided into the corner by Levitt.

Burton added a third from close range three minutes into the second half and Levitt made it 4-0 in the 64th minute with a simple finish.

The crowning glory was a fifth goal from 65 yards by Wes Millis whose free-kick bounced over replacement keeper Rob Hitchcock.
