Seats installed at
Piddinghoe Avenue
We took delivery yesterday of 350
seats which were kindly donated by Sussex County
Cricket Club. 43 have immediately been installed in
the existing under-cover area of the ground, with a
further 14 going on the raised concrete area on the
west side of the turnstile entrance. We are
investigating the possibility of extending this
area, which could potentially hold 70 seats
(although initially wouldn't be under-cover) The
remaining seats will be held, and used in future
projects - as finance permits.
Work is still scheduled to continue
on the 2 stands planned for the north side of the
ground which will accommodate 114 seats (separate
from the ones donated) - so bringing us in line with
the County League requirements.
We would like to thank Sussex County
Cricket Club for their kind donation, and thanks
also to Jim Heyburn (who handled negotiations with
them), John Snell, Ian Gilmour, Dean Gilmour, Shaun
Saunders, Pete Edwards and Daisy for their help in
transporting the seats to Piddinghoe Avenue.

*** Maintenance was carried out
today on the floodlight column which caused the
postponement of last nights game with Rye United and
it seems the lights are now back in full working
order
