   Peacehaven U18's  6  Ringmer U18's  1

An action packed first half saw Peacehaven produce a commanding performance and so extend their impressive unbeaten run. The last time they lost a competitive match was at Mile Oak in April, and the last time they lost at Piddinghoe Avenue was against Crowborough at the end of 2009.

Wes Coleman was recalled to the side in goal following the recent injury to Josh Heyburn, and Dean Smith made his first start since his return from Rottingdean.

The first chance of the game fell to Ringmer when  Rob Le Cras fired in from long range to produce a good save from Wes Coleman. Ten minutes later Peacehaven took the lead when Dean Smith ran on to a loose ball just inside the Ringmer half and hammered the ball into the net from long distance.

Within 2 minutes Peacehaven had doubled their lead. Tom Stutters' throw found Freddie Barker who took the ball to the byline and crossed for Jimmy Thomson to finish at the back post. Five minutes later it was 3-0 when a Jimmy Thomson corner was headed in by Steven Whelan.

By now Ringmer where on the ropes and where 4-0 down after 27 minutes when Tom Tyler's corner produced a goalmouth scramble, ending with Freddie Barker firing home his 4th goal of the season. Eight minutes later Callum Saunders almost made it 5 when he connected with another Tyler corner, but his header crashed against the bar.

The reprieve was short lived though as on 40 minutes a Tyler free-kick near the corner flag was met by Tom Stutters whose powerful header flew past the stranded keeper.

A minute before half-time Ringmer snatched what proved to be a consolation goal when Ben Courtnage's cross wasn't dealt with by the home defence and Jake Allen fired in from close range. First half injury time produced the last goal of the game when a shot from an unmarked Charlie Miles found it's way into the bottom corner.

The second half was a completely different story. There was no way back for Ringmer, but they tightened up their game and the were very few chances for either side.
