Peacehaven & T.
Res.
1 St Francis Rangers Res. 2
With Aaron Birch not available due
to work commitments, Michael Page took over the
armband and his position at the heart of the
Peacehaven defence, Jack Loraine also returned to
the side after a long term injury.
Despite having the better of the
first half and taking the lead just before the half
hour mark, the reserves failed to gain their first
3pts of the season, against a St Francis side who
they beat 5-0 in the Cup earlier in the season.
The second half saw St Francis
score two goals to cancel out Joe Spencer's opener
on 27 minutes, Once again Spencer's hard work and
will to win saw him chase down a through ball and
slot passed the advancing keeper.
Injury to Spencer saw his game cut
short and heralded the long awaited return of Jack
Loraine, but unfortunately it only lasted 5 minutes
as he was on the receiving end of a bad tackle and
had to come off.
From then on Peacehaven never
looked like coming back from a goal down and the
game came to a dreary end.
As Manager Richard Whittington
left the ground this evening he commented,
"Individual errors cost us goals today and we need
to earn the right to win games. We are still lacking
experience but I'm looking to address that in the
near future"
