  PEACEHAVEN & T.  6  LINGFIELD  3

Peacehaven continue to progress up the table after another dramatic encounter. They dominated this match from start to finish, and but for some slack defending would have won by a greater margin.

After his red card in the win at Hailsham, Rob O'Toole was again centre stage (but this time for the right reason) with his hat-trick taking his recent scoring spree to eight in

five games. Considering that he had only scored four goals in the previous two seasons, it vividly demonstrates what good coaching and confidence can do for a player.

Peacehaven are now unbeaten in the league since September, and that progress never seemed likely to be threatened by a makeshift Lingfield side. Peacehaven included Andy Wilkinson, one of the stars of last season, who was making a brief appearance whilst on holiday from an American Sports Academy.

That allowed O'Toole to move up front, and he and Wilkinson soon linked up to create the first chance. The winger cut in from the left and crossed to the back post, but O'Toole's header was well stopped by Joe White. Minutes later the same route proved more profitable. Wilkinson again centred and O'Toole side footed from a couple of yards to put Peacehaven ahead.

When O'Toole was upended by the young visiting keeper, and converted the resultant penalty the match was firmly in the home side's control, and when he added a second penalty just after half time it appeared to be all over.

Peacehaven were now in cruise control against a somewhat makeshift Lingfield side, and extended their lead still further when Ryan Bradley headed in from Wilkinson's corner. Lingfield pulled a goal back when Josh Coulson was allowed far too much space at the back post to nod past Joe Adams, but that was soon cancelled out at the other end by a well placed finish from Bradley.

Lingfied hit back again when a free kick from Dan Lilley curled in at the back post, much to the consternation of the home management. Their mood was somewhat lifted by their side adding a sixth goal, this time a powerful header from Craig Bunch, but that was short lived as Lingfield's Luke Clarke then scrambled in his sides third.

Their comeback was always in vain however, and Peacehaven were never in any real danger of letting the result slip.
