Details Below
Peacehaven extended their unbeaten League run to
a fifth month after a hard fought victory on
Saturday. Against a side who had swept aside
title favourites Three Bridges the previous week
they again showed how much they have improved
over recent months.
The
sides previous meeting this season was an edge
of the seat affair, with Peacehaven somehow
claiming a point in a 3-3 draw after being at
times in danger of a thumping, but this was a
far more controlled affair.
The
first half was a poor spectacle, with the
combination of a biting wind, bobbly pitch and
officious refereeing combining to create a
scrappy, untidy match. The best chances fell to
Peacehaven, with Rees shooting wide from his
less favoured left foot, and Ryan Bradley
blazing over from a tight angle.
At the
other end Adam Kneller and Aaron Gunn were doing
well to muzzle Scott Tipper, who has regularly
terrorised Peacehaven defenders over the last
couple of years. |
