  Match Details Below

Peacehaven extended their unbeaten League run to a fifth month after a hard fought victory on Saturday. Against a side who had swept aside title favourites Three Bridges the previous week they again showed how much they have improved over recent months.

The sides previous meeting this season was an edge of the seat affair, with Peacehaven somehow claiming a point in a 3-3 draw after being at times in danger of a thumping, but this was a far more controlled affair.

The first half was a poor spectacle, with the combination of a biting wind, bobbly pitch and officious refereeing combining to create a scrappy, untidy match. The best chances fell to Peacehaven, with Rees shooting wide from his less favoured left foot, and Ryan Bradley blazing over from a tight angle.

At the other end Adam Kneller and Aaron Gunn were doing well to muzzle Scott Tipper, who has regularly terrorised Peacehaven defenders over the last couple of years.

The match improved after half time, as both sides pushed forward looking for all three points. Josh Biggs went close to opening the scoring for the visitors, and Bradley went close at the other end.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, it was Peacehaven who opened the scoring through Ashley Rees. Adjusting quickly in the penalty area, he slid a well placed finish into the bottom of the net to give his side the lead. A spectacular one-handed save from Joe Adams kept Peacehaven's nose in front and when Craig Bunch added a second goal, with a clever lob after good approach work, the points were safe.

Peacehaven are now without a match for two weeks, and will be hoping they still have the same squad to choose from when they resume against Hassocks.
