  MATCH FACTS BELOW

The Under 18's unbeaten League record remains intact after a comprehensive performance against Mile Oak at Piddinghoe Avenue this morning.

With Manager Shaun Saunders away in America and Jim Heyburn unavailable, the First Team Management pairing of Pete Edwards and Terry Hall took charge of the team for the day - and they will have been impressed with what they saw.

There were three changes to the side which won at Dulwich last week, with Frazer Massen, Charlie Miles and Matt Lago all returning to the starting line-up in place of Adam Harris, Steffan Robinson-Webster and Connor Saunders (also in America)

Peacehaven dominated possession from the start, and the opening 15 minutes saw a long-range effort from Harrison Cullinane hit the bar, and Frazer Massen produce two fine saves from Mile Oak keeper Nick Alden on seperate occasions, both low down on his left post.

Mile Oak's attacks were few and far between, but the pace of Dan Elphick on the left wing seemed their main threat. Twice he managed to reach the byline,  but was unable to find any support and the Peacehaven defence was back in numbers to deal with the crosses.

In Peacehaven's last league game against Southwick, the 10 minute periods either side of half time proved to be decisive - and so it proved again today. First Freddie Barker's searching crossfield pass found Frazer Massen who calmly chipped over the oncoming keeper to open the scoring.

Two goals for Steven Whelan in 4-0 win

Massen was involved in the second goal 4 minutes from the break when his floated corner was misjudged by the entire visiting defence, and Jimmy Thomson was on hand to nod in his 4th of the season. Then, in the dying seconds of the half, Alden failed to deal with a Barker cross, and Steven Whelan had the simplest of tasks of rolling the ball into an unguarded net.

Within 2 minutes of the restart things got worse for Mile Oak when another Barker through ball caused confusion in the box, and Steven Whelan knocked in his second of the day.

There was no way back for Mile Oak from there, and although they started to be more creative in the second half, Josh Heyburn's clean sheet was rarely threatened. At the other end, Harrison Cullinane had a goal disallowed for offside late in the game, and Peacehaven where left with a comfortable 4-0 victory - and 13 points clear at the top of their table.
