Match details below
Following their convincing win
against Sidley the previous week, the Reserves
travelled to unbeaten Eastbourne United on
Friday evening, hoping to avenge last season's
encounter when they nearly held on for a draw -
only to concede 3 late goals.
With Tom Tyler, Chris Barton and
Matt Lago all unavailable, Aaron Birch, Sean
Caffrey and Steffen Robinson-Webster all
returned to the side with Harrison Cullinane
making his first start of the season.
Despite Eastbourne's 100% record,
it was Peacehaven who dominated the opening 45
minutes. Steffen Robinson-Webster went close on
10 minutes and 3 minutes later he saw a shot
well saved by the home keeper.
Matt Nuttman was causing the home
defence all sorts of problems out on the left
wing, and on 25 minutes Peacehaven created their
best chance of the game. A Jake Powell corner
was met by Aaron Birch and his header crashed
against the post and was scrambled away. From
the corner, the ball flew low across the 6 yard
box, but there was no one to meet it, and the
chance had gone. |
